Creating a national POS campaign


Onitsuka Tiger needed a point-of-sale campaign to promote their Autumn/Winter range. Utilising the brands rich history as inspiration, I decided to base the campaign around Lasse Virén – a double olympic gold medal winner that wore the promoted Mexico ‘66 trainer.

After finding key visuals from Onitsuka Tiger archives, I decided that the campaign needed a container device to bring consistency throughout all of the campaign elements. As this whole campaign was a homage to Lasse’s achievements, I felt it appropriate that this holding device should be trophy cabinets.

The campaign ran nationally throughout selected Schuh stores, but after impressive first week sales the promotion was upgraded to incorporate an installation at Schuhs flagship store on Oxford Street, London – a first for the company.
